Obituary of Kenneth Roy Moon

Please share a memory of Kenneth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness, that after a courageous battle with cancer, Ken Moon has passed on to be with his loved ones who have predeceased him. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Gloria, his step daughters Anne Marie Freeman and Kelly Freeman, son in law Trevor Stewart, grandchildren Aubrey currently in China and Sienna in Stratford Ontario, his brothers Richard, (Sharon) and Burton (Hilary), and his brothers in laws Ronald, Gregory (Katherine), and Patrick (Seanna) Wells. Ken graduated from the University of Toronto in 1970 with his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and was a dedicated Pharmacist with Big V for 26 years. He finished his working career providing relief help for independent pharmacies for another four years. He was a former President of the Pharmacist curling club and as well their golf league. In addition, he was an active volunteer in the community driving for ten years for the Canadian Cancer Society, volunteering for the Amherstburg Horticultural Society and the Shores of Erie Wine Festival. He and his wife Gloria collected amazing memories by traveling around the world three times and exploring hundreds of cites during their life together. When at home you could find him on the Pointe West Golf Course with his many friends. At Ken's request cremation has taken place and a celebration of Ken's life will be held at Pointe West, on Saturday, September 3rd from noon until four pm. Lunch will be served and all his family, friends, and work colleagues are invited to come and celebrate his life and share their fond memories. A special Thank You to the Victorian Order of Nurses, the CCAC and the Erie Shores Hospice for all the good care and support shown to us on this long journey. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Erie Shores Hospice would be appreciated. Cremation services were entrusted to Cremation Society of Windsor & Essex County (519-969-5449) 3260 Dougall Ave. Online condolences www.cremationsociety.ca
