It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Pauline (nee Spanswick) on Tuesday February 13th at 77 years young, after a short but hard fought battle with cancer. Pauline will be reunited in Heaven with her husband Tommy (2022) with whom she shared 57 wonderful years, her parents Wilfred and Joan Spanswick, and Kathleen and Thomas (Sr.) Ridley, sisters Carol Hunt (2021), Wendy DeCarlo (2010) and brother Craig Spanswick (2018) Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Dennis, Jackie Hill, Ian, Brenda Tuxford, Rick Hunt, Claudio DeCarlo, Kathy and Martyn Dwyer, Eva Ridley, Alice and the late Dan Quinlan. Adored and devoted “Pollywog” to Kaitlyn Dwyer and aunt to Mindi who held a special place in her heart. Pauline is survived by many nieces and nephews throughout Canada. When not visiting her favourite shops and locals in Essex County, Pauline loved baking, gardening and watching classic movies. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 7th floor of Windsor Regional Hospital – Ouellette Campus for the incredible care they took of Pauline in her final days. A special thank you to Samm at Families First, The Cremation Society of Windsor and Essex County, and the staff at Heavenly Rest. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County would be appreciated. As per Pauline’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place.
