Obituary of Avelino Mape

Passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2021 at the age of 88. Loving husband of Bonnie. Beloved father of Rey (Cheryl), the late Marilou, Maribel (Ron), and Chrissie (Rick). Proud papa of his grandchildren Briane, Steven, Braed, Jenna, Cassie, and Ally, great-grandchildren Haleigh, Brennen, Caiden, Easton, Harper, and Arthur, and great-great-grandchild Juniper. Survived by his sister-in-law Lil. Avelino will be remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Special thanks to Hospice, Care Partners, ParaMed, and all the doctors and nurses who cared for Avelino. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County or the Windsor & Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
