Obituary of Mark Maki

It is with broken hearts we announce the loss of Mark on June 9, 2022 at age 77. Mark was married for almost 55 years, to his high school sweetheart Darlene (Delisle). Treasured father of Krista and Andrea (Max Fernbach). Precious Papa to Victoria and Grace and the late Kendra. Loving son of the late George and Kaye Maki and son in law to Harry Delisle Brother in law to Robyn Delisle (Mike), Randy Delisle (Linda), the late Linda Millmun (Dan), and the late Gary Delisle. Mark will be fondly remembered and missed by many nieces, nephews, coworkers, neighbours, golf buddies and numerous friends with special mention to his closest friends Mike Vandewaetere, Herb Henricks, and Jack Mcrae. Mark worked 33 years in Pollution Control at the City of Windsor and 6 years in Leamington. He also loved his part time teaching gig at St. Clair College. Mark was known for his infectious smile and warm and caring heart. He was a wealth of information and loved to share his point of view. He enjoyed travelling, train collecting, Golf and watching the Leafs and Lions lose! Cremation has taken place. Please come prepared to share your memories at the celebration of life for Mark on Thursday June 16th, from 3pm - 7pm (buffet 4:30-6). Held at the Legion 594 - 5030 Howard Avenue, Oldcastle.
